Khaberni - Al Ahly clinched the title of the Egyptian Super Cup for the sixteenth time in its history, after an exciting win over its traditional rival Zamalek by two goals to none, this Sunday evening, in the final match held at the "Mohammed bin Zayed" Stadium in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi.
The Moroccan star Ashraf Ben Sharqi scored for Al Ahly in the 44th minute and Marwan Attia in the 72nd minute after a heated match characterized by competitiveness between the two teams, while the Turkish referee Khalil Umut disallowed a goal for Zamalek in the 78th minute scored by the Tunisian Saifeddine Jaziri due to a handball.
Al Ahly achieved its first title under the leadership of its Danish coach Jes Thorup, reinforcing its position as the most awarded club in the history of the Egyptian Super Cup, and won the title for the fifth consecutive time while Zamalek, led by their coach Ahmed Abdel Raouf, had to settle for the runner-up position.
