Khaberni - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed the Security Council's decision, which resulted in the deletion of the names of His Excellency the President of the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic, Ahmad Al-Shar', and the Minister of Interior, Anas Khatab, from the previously imposed sanctions list. The Ministry also welcomed the Council's reaffirmation of its commitment to the full respect of the sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, and national unity of the Syrian Arab Republic and its continued support for the brotherly Syrian people.
The Ministry's official spokesperson, Fouad Al-Majali, emphasized the importance of the decision, which reflects the international community's will to support the unity, stability, sovereignty, and security of the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic.
Al-Majali renewed the confirmation of the Kingdom's support for brotherly Syria in its reconstruction efforts based on principles that ensure its unity, stability, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the security of its lands and citizens, and that preserve its security and rid it of terrorism.
