Khaberni - Palestinian activist Ahmed Hegazi posted a "story" on his Instagram account, responding to the video his wife Khetam Abu Arrar published accusing him of abusing her and attempting to kill her.
In his personal story, Hegazi wrote: Out of respect for my family and my only daughter Yafa, I refrain from responding or commenting on what is published on social media.
My marriage journey was not easy, and we tried to fix things many times with the intervention of family and friends. I initiated divorce proceedings a few days ago, committing then to all her legal and financial rights before her father and those friends involved, and I still stand by my promise and commitment.
I ask God to maintain tranquility and stability over your families, and I thank everyone who has kept themselves from delving into personal matters and the affairs of others.
Hegazi's wife, Khetam Abu Arrar, had posted a video on social media platforms in which she appeared crying bitterly and accused her husband of multiple occasions of abuse, the last of which was an attempt to kill her, she claimed.
