Khaberni - Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S26 series in February next year, with a slight delay due to changes in the model plan, after the company decided to back down from canceling the Plus version and scrapping the idea of a new Edge model.

Samsung has kept the prices of its flagship phones steady for several years, but new leaks suggest a possible price increase this time around, due to rising costs of core components.

Component price increases put pressure on "Samsung"
Chip prices have increased by 12% compared to last year, alongside an 8% increase in camera units and 16% in LPDDR5 memory, according to a report published by "phonearena" and reviewed by "Al Arabiya Business".

These increases are linked to rising demand for artificial intelligence components, as manufacturers focus on producing chips for AI servers more than phones.

Previous leaks indicated that "Samsung" might keep the prices as they are, but recent reports suggest a likely increase ranging between 50 and 100 dollars for each model in the series.

Comparison with Competitors
Both "Apple" and "Google" have maintained the prices of their new phones without significant changes.

The iPhone 17 starts at $799, while the Pixel 10 starts at roughly the same price, with a difference in base storage capacity.

Smart Purchase Strategies
Even with potential price increases, there are still attractive offers at launch, including discounts for trading in old devices or adding a new line through major carriers such as "AT&T" and "T-Mobile" and "Verizon".

Samsung usually offers comfortable installment plans that make acquiring the phone easier.

What about the specifications?
Leaks suggest that the series will include three models: Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra.

The flagship version, S26 Ultra, is expected to come with either a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor or Exynos 2600 depending on the region, along with faster charging up to 60 watts and support for the new Qi2 standard, and an improved main camera.

The basic model S26 will feature a slightly larger 6.3-inch screen with a slimmer and more elegant design.

Although the improvements are not radical compared to the S25 series, Samsung enthusiasts seeking the latest technology might find the S26 a tempting option, even if it comes at a higher price.
