Khaberni - The Vocational Training Corporation has succeeded in achieving a national qualitative achievement by being recognized as a permanent regional center for the implementation of joint training programs within the Jordanian-Singaporean cooperation, activating the special clause in the agreement to implement international professional and technical training programs by Singaporean experts, offered to leaders working in the vocational and technical training sectors and related sectors from countries in the region.
Within the framework of the agreement signed in 2024, the first specialized regional training program in Jordan on the Fourth Industrial Revolution and innovation management was implemented in collaboration with the Singapore Cooperation Programme (SCP) and IPOS International, with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Singapore, under the Asian-Middle East Cooperation Program (AMED). The program includes participating leaders from nine countries, in addition to experts from Singapore and a specialized training team in Jordan – the Vocational Training Corporation.
The Vocational Training Corporation's first regional training session concluded under the patronage of the president of the Vocational Training Corporation's board and the Minister of Labor, Dr. Khaled Bakkar, with the attendance of the general director of the Vocational Training Corporation, Dr. Ahmad Gharaybeh, and the Honorary General Consul of the Republic of Singapore in Jordan, Dina George Emil Haddad, with high-level delegations from nine countries including representatives from the Singaporean side, in addition to a Saudi delegation representing the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, a Bahraini delegation representing the Presidency of the Council of Ministers / Comprehensive Development and Planning Affairs - Office of the Deputy Prime Minister, an Indonesian delegation representing the Ministry of Political and Security Coordination Affairs, a delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini representing the Ministry of Information Technology and Communications, a delegation from Malawi representing the Office of the President and the Council of Ministers, a delegation from the Maldives representing the Office of the President, and a delegation from Tajikistan representing the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies, in addition to Jordanian trainees, and certificates were awarded to participants who completed the course.
Dr. Bakkar stated that the accreditation of the Vocational Training Corporation as a regional center for joint training reflects the insightful vision of His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, in empowering Jordanian youth and preparing them for the future.
This achievement embodies the international community's confidence in our national institutions and opens new horizons for cooperation and partnerships in the fields of training, technology, and innovation at the regional level.
On her part, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Singapore in Jordan, Dina George Emil Haddad, expressed her pride in the distinguished partnership between the two countries, noting that choosing Jordan to be the permanent headquarters for implementing these training programs confirms the competencies and capabilities of its human resources and institutions in transferring knowledge and exchanging expertise. "We look forward to further fruitful cooperation with the Vocational Training Corporation to enhance applied education and innovation in the region."
Dr. Gharaybeh confirmed that this achievement reflects the international partners' confidence in the efficiency of the Vocational Training Corporation and its ability to diligently follow through on joint cooperation agreements with international parties and provide added value reflecting the quality, professionalism, and expertise of the Jordanian side in managing multinational training programs efficiently, stating that the institution is continuing to update its training curricula and integrate artificial intelligence, automation, and innovation technologies to match the vision of economic modernization and qualify Jordanian youth for future labor market requirements.
He explained that this success comes in implementation of the vision of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, who emphasized during his visit to Singapore the importance of transferring global experiences in vocational and technical education to Jordan, and building sustainable international partnerships to enhance competitiveness and innovation.
