Khaberni - The Hebrew site Ynet reported that Egypt has made a proposal about 200 Hamas fighters besieged in the Rafah tunnels.
The proposal, according to the site, involves providing new information about the tunnels for their destruction by the fighters in exchange for a "safe passage" and access to areas controlled by Hamas.
Two sources familiar with the discussions told Reuters that the offer was conveyed to Israel and Hamas, which have not yet agreed to it, and that the discussions are still ongoing.
Sources claimed, citing a Reuters report, that contact with the besieged fighters in Rafah was lost around March, and that they "may not be aware of the ceasefire." One source asserted that the agreement serves the interest of maintaining the ceasefire."
