Khaberni - The Ministry of Agriculture announced that it has completed all the necessary procedures to begin the electronic tagging operations of sheep in all the governorates of the kingdom, through 47 tagging centers distributed across various regions, following a pilot campaign that included all tagging centers in the governorates.
The ministry explained that the tagging operations target owners of new holdings and those holdings that have not been previously tagged electronically, as part of the ministry's efforts to regulate the livestock sector and improve the accuracy of related data.
The Ministry of Agriculture called on livestock breeders to register via the ministry's electronic platform to complete the tagging procedures, and to review the agricultural directorates in the governorates and districts to obtain instructions and details related to the electronic tagging mechanism.
