Khaberni - The Director-General of the Social Security Corporation, Dr. Jad Allah Al-Khlaileh, stated that the institution aims to provide a decent life for workers and retirees through a comprehensive system of social insurances and services offered to them.
The Workers' Club at Petra Private University organized an awareness dialogue session titled "Insurance Rights and Benefits in the Social Security Law", attended by college deans, directors of departments and scientific centers, and a large number of members of the teaching and administrative staff and university students.
The president of the university, Professor Dr. Rami Abdul Rahim, during the meeting chaired by the president of the Workers' Club and Dean of Student Affairs Professor Dr. Iyad Al-Mallah, emphasized that the university is keen on enhancing awareness among workers by holding such meetings, offering his thanks to the Workers' Club for organizing the meeting and providing the opportunity for direct dialogue with national state institutions.
On his part, the Director-General of the Social Security Corporation, Dr. Jad Allah Al-Khlaileh, expressed his gratitude to the university's administration and the Workers' Club for this awareness initiative, underscoring the importance of the partnership with Petra University in raising awareness among workers and students about the importance of social security as the university represents an outstanding academic environment and esteemed scientific edifice.
Al-Khlaileh confirmed that the Social Security Corporation is one of the most important arms of social protection in the kingdom, forming the foundation of social and economic security for citizens.
Al-Khlaileh reviewed the main insurances applied by the institution, and the legislative development it has witnessed since its establishment in 1978, noting that the number of insured individuals today exceeds 640,000, in addition to about 431,000 retirees and beneficiaries who receive monthly salaries.
He pointed to the institution's continuous efforts to include all workers in the kingdom under the umbrella of social protection, as social security is a main pillar of social protection, and the institution is moving towards including workers in the unorganized sector under its umbrella to ensure these workers benefit from the insurance advantages and benefits provided by the social security law, affirming at the same time that the institution was among the first national institutions to undergo digital transformation in providing all its services to its audience of individuals and establishments.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Jad Allah Al-Khlaileh and the Assistant General Manager for Insurances, Shaman Al-Majali, answered the questions and inquiries of the attendees with transparent clarity.
