Khaberni - A Bosnian coach died during a match in the Serbian Premier Football League after suffering a heart attack.

Mladen Zizovic, the coach of team FK Radnicki 1923, collapsed on the ground in the 22nd minute of his team's match against Mladost in the local league after suffering a sudden heart attack.

Coach Dies During Match

Zizovic, 45, was rushed to the hospital after attempts to resuscitate him on the field by the medical teams failed.

The match was paused for a few minutes before it was resumed after Zizovic was taken to the hospital.

Minutes later, tragic news arrived from the hospital announcing Zizovic's death, leading the referee to blow the final whistle at the 41st minute with the score at 2-0 in favor of Radnicki, and informed the players of the news as confirmed by the Spanish newspaper "Sport".

Both teams' players and their technical and administrative staff were in shock, as everyone collapsed on the field overwhelmed by the surprise, and some burst into tears as shown in videos that spread on social media.

 

Additionally, the Serbian Football Federation expressed its deep sorrow for this incident and offered condolences to the family, fans, players, and team of the late coach Zizovic.

They released a statement on their official X platform account saying "The Serbian Football Federation received with great sorrow and shock the news of the sudden death of Mladen Zizovic, coach of team FK Radnicki 1923."

The statement added "Zizovic died during a match in the Serbian Premier League between Mladost and Radnicki 1923 in Lucani. His premature departure represents a significant loss for the entire football community."

 

Finally, the statement concluded, "We extend our deepest condolences to Zizovic's family, to the members of Club Radnicki 1923, as well as to all friends and fans of his personality and work. Rest in peace, Mladen, your love for football and the legacy you left will forever remain with us."
