Khaberni - A comprehensive coordination meeting was held at Deir Alla Municipality on Wednesday to discuss preparing a study for the establishment of a shelter center for stray dogs in the Jordan Valley areas, attended by the mayors of Deir Alla, Muadi, Sweimeh, South Shuna, and Shrahbil bin Hasnah, alongside directors of Agriculture of Jordan Valley, Agriculture of South Shuna, Environment of Jordan Valley, and the director of the Central Jordan Valley Joint Services Council.
The meeting reviewed the reality of the spread of stray dogs in the Jordan Valley areas and the environmental and health hazards they cause.
The attendees discussed ways to find a sustainable and humane solution to deal with this phenomenon, through the establishment of an integrated center that ensures shelter and care according to the approved health and environmental standards.
