Khaberni - Minister of Local Administration Walid El-Masri and Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Imad Hijazin discussed, during a meeting held at the Tafila Governorate building, with representatives of tourist activities, the main issues and challenges facing the tourism sector with the local administration, and ways to enhance coordination among the relevant parties to develop tourist sites and supporting infrastructure.

El-Masri, in the presence of Tafila Governor Sultan Al-Madi, emphasized the importance of the partnership between the Ministries of Local Administration, Tourism and Antiquities, and local tourism activities, to boost the tourism sector in the governorate, pointing out that Tafila possesses natural and heritage elements that qualify it to be a distinguished tourist destination at the national level.

During the meeting, a number of pending issues between tourism activities and local administration in the governorate were discussed, with a focus on the need to overcome obstacles and unify efforts to activate the tourism movement and support local development.

In a separate context, the Minister of Local Administration visited several buildings of municipalities in Tafila Governorate, including Greater Tafila, Buseira, Qadisiyah, and Al-Hasa, to review the reality of the services provided to citizens and the level of winter readiness.

El-Masri listened to briefings from the chairpersons of committees about work plans and preparations for the winter season and the main challenges facing the municipalities, emphasizing the need to continue efforts to improve the level of services and enhance municipal performance to ensure comprehensive readiness during the upcoming season.

The minister inspected a number of sites and areas within the municipal areas, and was briefed on the maintenance work and cleaning of rainwater drainage networks and overall cleanliness levels, stressing the need to continue efforts to enhance the efficiency of services and the readiness of municipalities for the winter season.
