Khaberni - Toyota has unveiled a new innovation combining clean technology with practical design in the experimental Toyota Tacoma H2 vehicle, showcased at SEMA 2025, a dedicated event for innovative and modified automotive technologies.

Emission-Free Truck from Toyota

The Toyota Tacoma H2 Overlander comes as a version designed for adventures and off-road trips, relying on a hydrogen fuel cell system along with a lithium-ion battery and two electric motors, making it a completely zero-emission vehicle.

The truck is characterized by a robust suspension system specially designed for off-road, with comprehensive equipment such as a roof tent and complete gear for long journeys in remote areas.

Unique System for Using Wastewater

A standout feature of this innovative model is the wastewater recycling system, allowing users to collect water produced by the operation of fuel cells and use it for washing or showering during camping.

Toyota says the system is still in the process of being patented, making it the first of its kind in the world within the hydrogen SUV and pickup category.

Through the Tacoma H2, Toyota continues to demonstrate its commitment to expanding the use of hydrogen as a clean alternative to traditional fuel, particularly in vehicles designed for tough roads and long journeys, enhancing its position as a leader in environmental innovation.
