Khaberni - The Jordan Tourism Board recently hosted the team from Korean God TV to produce visual media content that showcases Jordan as a land of sanctity, and sheds light on the importance of visiting the Kingdom to experience the Christian pilgrimage and discover religious and archaeological sites that embody the depth of Jordan's spiritual and historical heritage.

This hosting is part of the efforts of the Board to enhance Jordan's position as a leading destination for religious tourism globally, and to reach a wide audience in South Korea, contributing to enhancing awareness of Jordan as a major station on the Christian pilgrimage route.

In coordination with God TV, a comprehensive field visit plan was developed to photograph and document key touristic, archaeological, and religious sites across various provinces of the Kingdom, from Salt and Jerash to Ajloun, Madaba, Kerak, Petra, Wadi Rum, and the Dead Sea, alongside Christian pilgrimage sites like Mount Nebo, the Baptism Site, Madaba churches, and Our Lady of the Mountain in Anjara.

The visit also included official meetings with the Jordan Tourism Board, the Petra Regional Authority, and the Baptism Site Authority, in addition to meetings with the Council of Heads of Evangelical Churches; aiming to explore ways to develop Christian visit programs and enhance the pilgrimage experience in Jordan.

The visit included various cultural and touristic activities, featuring therapeutic experiences in Ma'in Hot Springs and the Dead Sea, trips in Wadi Mujib, and experiences of authentic Jordanian cuisine, reflecting the cultural and environmental diversity of the Kingdom and enriching the multi-dimensional visitor experience.

During the discussions between the Board and the Korean channel, an agreement was reached to continue cooperation through sending a media team affiliated with the channel in January 2026; to cover the Epiphany celebrations at the Baptism Site with the participation of Father John Lee, head of Yood Evangelical Church in South Korea, along with completing filming of religious and touristic sites in a documentary titled "Jordan: Kingdom of Time and Land of Sanctity."

It was also agreed that God TV would translate promotional materials and media cards into Korean and provide the Board with translated copies of the documentary videos; thus contributing to enhancing the marketing messages’ reach to the Korean audience and presenting an accurate and professional image of Jordan.

The collaboration with God TV is a strategic step within the Board’s efforts to expand Jordan's presence in Asian markets, and to establish international media partnerships that highlight the religious and cultural heritage of the Kingdom, presenting the Christian pilgrimage experience in Jordan as a unique spiritual and human journey on a global level.
