The program, which "Khaberni" reviewed, showed that electronic gates have been activated at selected sites in Jordan (Amman Citadel and Jerash) and linked with the electronic ticket.

The program reviewed aspects of development in the legislative environment related to tourism work, in addition to developing tourist products and experiences for various types of tourism.

In March 2025, the government abolished the use of paper tickets for entering museums and archaeological sites, replacing them with electronic tickets, according to the official newspaper.

The government specified electronic methods for collecting the entrance fee to any museum, archaeological, or tourist site, through payment by credit cards using electronic authorization devices.

It also included payment methods; using the internet through credit cards (Credit Cards), instant enrollment cards (Debit Cards), in addition to payment through banks or accredited financial companies.

The decision specified that the ticket is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance, and it is not allowed to transfer the ticket from one person to another.

It was emphasized that it is not allowed to return or refund the ticket value or any part of its price without the approval of the Minister of Tourism, in special and justified cases and with a recommendation from the director.

The electronic ticket; is a receipt that the visitor can obtain through the electronic system, which enables them to enter any museum, archaeological, or tourist site.

This appeared in the official newspaper, within the instructions for selling electronic tickets for entering museums and archaeological sites for the year 2025, issued pursuant to Article (6) of the entrance fees system to museums and archaeological sites and its amendments number 40 for the year 2002.
