Khaberni - A horrifying incident occurred in one of the Turkish prisons in the city of Bolu, which sparked widespread outrage in social circles, after a prisoner attempted to end his four-year-old daughter's life during her visit to him inside the prison.
The crime took place on Friday inside a Type T Bolu prison, where the accused is serving a sentence for attempted murder.
During the visit conducted by his ex-wife and young daughter in an "open visit" session, the father lost control of himself and began to brutally beat the girl, before grabbing her and violently throwing her against the wall, resulting in her severe injuries.
Security personnel inside the prison intervened immediately after the assault, managing to control the prisoner and remove him from the girl, before urgently summoning an ambulance. The girl was transported to the hospital to receive necessary treatment, after it was found that she was in a critical condition.
The doctors confirmed that her health condition is still serious, and she is currently in the intensive care unit under continuous medical supervision.
The public prosecutor inside the prison issued immediate instructions to open an urgent investigation into the incident, and the prison’s prosecutor ordered that the assaulting father be placed in solitary confinement, pending the completion of investigations and legal proceedings against him.
The father, who was already detained on charges of attempted murder, now faces new charges of attempting to murder his daughter inside the same penal institution, in an incident that reflects the seriousness of his psychological state and violent behavior.
