Khaberni - The Mufti of Egypt and head of the General Secretariat for Fatwa Authorities Worldwide, Dr. Nazir Mohamed Ayad, affirmed that divine religions were never a cause for division; rather, they have been a force for building human unity throughout history.

He explained that Islam introduced a comprehensive system of values that protect human dignity, safeguard society, and support global peace and security.

During a seminar organized by the Faculty of Theology at Al-Azhar University titled "Methodology of Presenting Authentic Islam in International Forums – A Personal Experience," the Mufti emphasized that Islam today faces serious intellectual challenges, most notably extremist thought and violent groups that have tarnished the religion's image, alongside waves of atheism and orientalist bias that have fueled the phenomenon of Islamophobia and hate speech.

He noted that confronting these campaigns requires a robust scholarly discourse and a strong presence of official religious institutions in international forums to correct misconceptions, and to promote a culture of dialogue and coexistence among peoples. He pointed out that Islam is a religion of justice, mercy, and equality, that honored women and preceded other laws in safeguarding their status, citing the Prophet Muhammad's saying: "Treat women well."
