Khaberni - In line with the vision of Amman Arab University to enhance an educational environment based on effective communication and positive partnership among students and academic staff, the College of Applied Medical Sciences organized an interactive meeting that brought together the college students with Professor Dr. Rana Abu Haweij, the Dean of the College, and the members of the teaching and administrative bodies. This was part of the college's commitment to fostering constructive dialogue and listening to students' suggestions to improve the educational process and elevate the level of academic services.
Dr. Abu Haweij opened the meeting with a welcoming speech in which she expressed her pride in the college students, emphasizing the importance of such meetings in enhancing communication bridges and strengthening bonds between students and the college administration. She indicated that students are the central pillar in the educational process, and listening to their feedback and suggestions is a crucial step towards continuous improvement and enhancement. Dr. Abu Haweij also highlighted the college's commitment to providing a stimulating educational environment that meets the students' academic, psychological, and professional needs, urging them to leverage the available opportunities and resources both within and outside the university to build their comprehensive academic and professional personalities.
The meeting included interventions from the faculty members discussing a variety of important academic topics, notably: the academic advisement system, assessment and field training mechanisms, besides emphasizing the importance of attendance and active participation in the educational process. Additionally, the session displayed the foremost programs and initiatives offered by the college to empower students and prepare them for the job market. The meeting also featured an open dialogue between students and faculty members, where a series of questions and inquiries related to academic and administrative affairs were raised and interacted with in a transparent and clear manner, in an environment characterized by positivity and cooperation.
At the end of the meeting, the students expressed their appreciation for this initiative that reflects the college's concern for their opinions and observations, underscoring the importance of continuing such meetings that enhance the sense of belonging and contribute to improving their educational experience and boosting their university affiliation.
