Prof Dr Hamdan at the Jordanian Association for Scientific Research Conference Showcases the Research Achievements of Amman Al

Khaberni - His Excellency Professor Dr. Adnan Badran sponsored the opening ceremony of the twelfth symposium on scientific research in Jordan yesterday, Saturday, which was held by the Jordanian Association for Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation in collaboration with Amman Al-Ahliyya University among a significant presence and participation of esteemed professors and researchers, which included themes: vocational and technical education and training and the labor market, international legislations and human rights, innovation-based economy, future of clean energy in Jordan: where to?, the food industry in Jordan and its role in food security.
Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan, president of Amman Al-Ahliyya University, spoke at the opening ceremony welcoming the sponsor of the conference His Excellency Professor Dr. Adnan Badran; and the chairman of the board of trustees of the Jordanian Association for Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation, His Excellency Professor Dr. Reda Al-Khawaldeh; and the president of the conference, Professor Dr. Sameeh Abu Bakr, the chairman of the preparatory committee, and the members of the association and participants in the conference, and outlined in a short speech the research achievements and performance of Amman Al-Ahliyya University stating:
Amman Al-Ahliyya University is honored to host this distinguished conference, hoping to convey to you the greetings of the president of the board of trustees, Mr. Abdul Karim Kabariti and the esteemed president of the board of directors, Dr. Maher Al-Hawarneh.
• He added: I am pleased to present to you a summary of the journey of Amman Al-Ahliyya University in supporting scientific research and innovation in recent years:
First: The total number of published researches on Scopus was about 5,206 scientific researches overall, reflecting the qualitative progress in research outputs and their quality.
Also, the number of researches published in the year 2025 alone was about 1,309 scientific researches, which confirms the continual growth in research production and the university's increasing contribution to international scientific publishing.
The distribution of published researches for the year 2025 according to Cite Score classifications was as follows:
• 723 researches in Q1 journals comprising 55.2% of the total researches in 2025
• 373 researches in Q2 journals comprising 28.5%
• 114 researches in Q3 journals comprising 8.7%
• 38 researches in Q4 journals comprising 2.9%
This distribution is a clear indicator of the university's strategic direction towards publishing in high-impact and globally prestigious scientific journals, where researches published in Q1 and Q2 categories exceed 83% of the total researches in 2025, evidencing the quality and international scope of the published scientific work.
Second: The university experienced notable activity in the field of innovation and invention, registering about 72 patents during 2021–2025, reflecting the fertile research environment at the university and the encouragement of researchers and students towards creative and practical application of research ideas.
Third: This advancement in research and innovation has resulted in a qualitative leap in global rankings, notably entering the (401-500) category in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings for 2025, positioning it at the forefront of Jordanian universities, and affirming its presence on the global academic stage.
• Following that, he concluded his speech saying: As we pride ourselves on this excellence, we confirm the continuation of Amman Al-Ahliyya University in adopting advanced research strategies aiming to expand the scope of international cooperation, reaffirming our pride and appreciation of both public and private Jordanian universities for placing Jordanian higher education on the global academic map, towards achieving the directions of His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein and his Crown Prince.
