France Domestic violence claims the lives of more than 100 women in 2024

Khaberni - 107 women were killed in France by their partners or former partners in 2024, according to the results of a study published today, Friday. The French news channel "BFM TV" reported this data from an annual study by the Ministry of the Interior on domestic violence cases, indicating an increase of 11% compared to the victims of 2023.

According to the study's results, law enforcement in France recorded 138 spousal homicides, with 31 male victims.

90% of female homicides and domestic killings occurred in the home of the victim or perpetrator, with knives used in 49 cases and firearms in 34 cases. This study comes at a time when there is controversy in France over the case of Cédric Jubillar, who was convicted earlier this month of killing his wife Delphine, who has been missing since 2020.

Delphine's body is still being searched for to this day, while in mid-October (October) the criminal court in the "Tarn" region sentenced the man to 30 years in prison. However, his lawyers have announced preparations to appeal against him.
