A Simple Method for Deep Sleep

Previous studies have shown that the sleep deprivation suffered by hundreds of millions globally can lead people to adopt dietary patterns that are often unhealthy, usually high in fats and carbohydrates, and cause harm to humans, affecting heart health, metabolism, memory, learning, productivity, and emotional balance. Scientists from the University of Chicago Medicine and Columbia University demonstrated in a study—the first to show a same-day link between diet and sleep quality—that consuming more fruits and vegetables during the day is associated with better sleep quality that same night. The study included individuals who adhered to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's recommendation to consume 5 cups of fruits and vegetables daily, showing an average 16% improvement in sleep quality compared to those who did not consume any.

The scientists in a report published in the journal Materials state that it is important that this change occurred in less than 24 hours.
