Khaberni - North Korea considered the issue of denuclearization of the peninsula, which South Korea announced it discussed in a summit with China on Saturday, to be "daydreams" that will never come true, according to the North Korean Central News Agency.
Chinese President Xi Jinping is scheduled to meet with South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum, held in Gyeongju, South Korea.
On Friday, the office of the South Korean president announced that the two leaders would discuss the issue of denuclearization of the peninsula.
The North Korean Central News Agency, quoting a statement by Deputy Foreign Minister Pak Myong-ho, stated, "The Republic of Korea (South Korea) still fails to understand that its persistent denial of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) as a nuclear state, and its talk of daydreams about achieving denuclearization, reveal its lack of common sense."
The agency added: "We will patiently show that denuclearization is just 'pipe dreams' that will never be realized."
