Khaberni - In a painful incident that caused widespread anger in the Syrian street, a teacher in a rural Aleppo school assaulted a 7-year-old child after accusing him of stealing 4,000 Syrian pounds, leading to injuries and fractures that required hospitalization for treatment.

According to what Syrian Television reported, quoting local sources, the child was subjected to a violent physical assault inside the school. The teacher brutally beat him using school supplies, causing a hand fracture and bruises in various parts of his body.

The child was transferred to Al-Razi Hospital in Aleppo, where he is receiving treatment and his health condition is stable according to the medical staff overseeing his care. The incident quickly sparked a widespread controversy among residents, who shared photos showing clear signs of torture on the child's body, demanding that the Ministry of Education take strict measures against the teacher and anyone proven to be involved in the incident.

A number of activists wrote that such incidents recur in some schools due to the absence of educational supervision and the weak enforcement of laws that prohibit violence against students.

In the same context, Syrian Television quoted a source from the Aleppo Education Directorate stating that "the teacher was immediately suspended from work, and the relevant authorities have started an extensive investigation into the incident," affirming that the ministry "will not tolerate any violent behavior inside educational institutions."

This incident brings to mind a similar event that occurred in the Rural Damascus Governorate weeks ago, where recorded videos documented a school principal in Daraya beating young students, leading to her suspension from work by an official decree.
