The fund explained that leeks are a treasure of important minerals and vitamins for health; as they are rich in calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphate, potassium, and silicon, and they are also high in vitamin B and vitamin C.

Leeks are rich in aromatic oils containing sulfur, which has an anti-inflammatory effect, making them beneficial for heart and cardiovascular health, in addition to reducing the risk of cancer.

Leeks also have diuretic, laxative, and antiseptic effects, making them beneficial for the digestive system and for bone and joint diseases such as gout and rheumatoid arthritis.
