Khaberni - A report issued by the government under the title "A Year of Work", indicated that the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation was able during the period from September 2024 to September 2025, to register and prequalify 6 new projects within the framework of the partnership with the private sector.
These projects included the development of the Jaber border crossing, in addition to the development of King Abdullah II road, as well as financing the construction of 17 public schools, alongside the expansion of the high-frequency bus project (Amman – Zarqa), and the inauguration of a power station with a capacity of 580 megawatts, and an energy storage project with a capacity of 450 megawatts near the Mujib Dam, according to Al-Ghad.
The ministry also led a series of community and developmental initiatives, notably financing the "Irada" initiative 2025 with the Royal Scientific Society, in addition to financing 200 productive projects for retired military personnel valued at 882 thousand dinars, which will provide 300 jobs, in addition to financing the "Irbid 42" program with a value of 572 thousand dinars. Lastly, the opening of an Umniah service center for subscribers in Ma'an providing 13 job opportunities through it.
Regarding the ministry's performance during the time span from September 2024 until the end of September 2025, the ministry prepared 2,066 feasibility studies, established 1,445 projects, and carried out 15 field visits to projects across the provinces of the kingdom, and also led a national campaign for participants in the sixth plan of the Open Government Partnerships.
The ministry also offered training for 640 participants in entrepreneurial projects and 965 public sector employees benefited from overseas training programs, in addition to providing 22 scholarships for postgraduate studies in master’s and doctoral programs.
The ministry was able to attract foreign funding for civil society institutions to finance 441 projects valued at 54.5 million dinars, in addition to registering 12 new patents, half of which are local and the other half international.
The report pointed to cumulative achievements represented in completing 81% of the economic reforms matrix, which includes 403 reforms across 12 strategic sectors, in addition to supporting 28 governmental bodies implementing the reforms.
The ministry also succeeded in achieving 35% of the indicators for the Climate Investments program, in addition to achieving progress by 17% in the Digital Government program.
It is noted that the economic reforms matrix was prepared and developed by the government, with support from the World Bank and development partners, and was approved by the Council of Ministers in 2018, with implementation commencing in 2019.
A total of $5 billion in foreign aid in 2024
Moving to the ministry’s achievements in attracting foreign aid, the report highlighted that the value of foreign aid consisting of grants and concessional loans committed to Jordan and signed during the period from September 2024, until the end of September 2025 amounted to approximately $5.22 billion.
This aid includes regular grants, concessional loans, and additional grants to support the Syrian crisis response plan.
