Khaberni - "Samsung" announced a partnership with HealthTap, the leading provider of virtual medical services, to offer primary and urgent medical consultations directly via the Samsung Health app.
The new feature allows more than 7 million Galaxy device owners to schedule video appointments with licensed doctors in all states.
Prescriptions, treatment plans, and follow-ups appear within the app itself, eliminating the need to use other apps, according to a report published by "digitaltrends" and reviewed by "Arabiya Business".
Doctors can access health data recorded from the phone or from Galaxy watches and Galaxy Rings, such as heart rate, physical activity, and sleep quality, to provide accurate and personalized assessments.
Currently, the appointment booking is only allowed for users of smart watches and rings, but the service is available to any "Samsung" device user.
This move represents a real transformation in the relationship between electronic devices and healthcare, putting "Samsung" in direct competition with "Apple's" growing ambitions in the medical field.
By combining health tracking and medical consultations in one place, Samsung opens the door to a hybrid care model that relies on intelligence and convenience and reduces the need for traditional clinic visits.
The service can now be experienced through the Samsung Health app, with prices varying according to the type of consultation and insurance coverage.
