Khaberni - In the official gazette issue on Thursday, the decision of the board of commissioners of the Independent Election Commission to dissolve the Will and Progress parties after their merger into the "Initiative" party was issued.
The council considered that the merger procedures conducted in accordance with the law are correct and consistent with Article (32) of the Political Parties Law No. (7) of 2022 and Article No. (10) of the Executive Instructions for the Establishment and Monitoring of Political Parties Affairs for the year 2024 and its amendments.
The decision also regarded the Initiative party as the legal and actual successor of the Progress and Will parties and that all their rights are transferred to it and it assumes the obligations incurred on them under Article (32/d) of the aforementioned Political Parties Law.
