Khaberni - Continuing its efforts to support Jordanian youth and provide them with knowledge and practical experience to increase their chances of entering the job market; Zain Jordan, in cooperation with the Vocational Training Corporation, completed a new free course on fiber optic technology at the Zain Center in the Jordanian-Korean Technology Institute in Zarqa Governorate.
These free courses - constantly launched by Zain throughout the year and benefiting over 90 young men and women - are part of its programs and initiatives in the field of sustainability management as part of its strategy aimed at empowering youth, enhancing their efficiency, providing them with economic and social empowerment tools, with the aim of building a generation equipped with knowledge and practical experience that qualifies them to keep up with developments in the fields of telecommunications and modern technology. Through these courses, Zain aims to achieve a tangible and long-lasting impact by providing real opportunities for vocational education in cooperation with specialized national institutions, thereby enhancing the readiness of young people to enter the job market with confidence and skill.
The course includes 150 training hours that combine theoretical and practical aspects, during which participants learn about the latest technologies used in fiber optic networks, from the stages of laying the cables to service delivery to the subscriber's home, in addition to training them on troubleshooting and maintenance. A specialized team of qualified trainers oversees the courses, allowing the graduates to obtain accredited certificates that qualify them for immediate employment after graduation. Zain networks its center graduates with companies working in the field of fiber optic technology to help them enter the job market and secure job opportunities directly after their graduation. To date, the employment rate for graduates of the courses in the field of fiber optic technology maintenance has reached 60%.
Zain, in cooperation with the Vocational Training Corporation, will soon announce the launch of a new course, continuing its efforts in preparing young talents and opening new horizons for them in the job market, in alignment with the global goals for sustainable development, particularly the first goal (eradicating poverty) and the eighth goal (decent work and economic growth).
