Khaberni - Egyptian drama will turn into an outstanding women’s platform in Ramadan 2026, not only in terms of leadership but also in terms of content, with heroines dominating most of the series that are set to be aired, focusing on women's issues from diverse social, psychological, and human aspects, reflecting their reality and struggles with daily challenges.
Nelly Karim continues her journey in addressing women's issues through Egyptian drama with her new series "Ana," consisting of 30 episodes. The plot revolves around a woman facing consecutive crises related to her personal and social life, belonging to social and psychological drama, written by Mostafa Gamal Hashem and directed by Khaled Said.
After stepping away from the Ramadan competition for three years, since presenting the drama "Alf Hamdulillah Ala Al-Salama" in 2023, Yousra returns to the small screen with a new series produced by Alaa Al-Kahki, the name of which has yet to be announced, and filming begins next November. Meanwhile, Ghada Abdel Razek enters the Ramadan race with the series "Aalya," which also discusses contemporary women's issues. The work is written by Ayman Salama and directed by Ahmed Hassan, featuring Sabri Fawaz, Mohamed Riad, and others.
Egyptian Drama in Social Experiments
Yasmin Abdulaziz presents a new social experiment in "Wnensa Elly Kan," where she portrays a woman facing life and psychological pressures that affect her relationships. The series is written by Amr Mahmoud Yassin, directed by Mohamed El-Khabiry, starring Bassem Samra and Karim Fahmy, and is set to be aired on MBC. Mai Omar also enters the Ramadan competition with the series "El-Sit Mona Lisa," consisting of only 15 episodes, focusing on the emotions and challenges women face in society. The work is written by Mohamed Bashir, directed by Ahmed Ali, produced by Media Life company, and will also be aired on MBC.
After the success she achieved in the series "Hasbat Omry," Rogina returns with the series "Mafag’at Sarea," continuing to discuss and defend women's issues. The work carries a special family signature, as it’s directed by Maya Ashraf Zaki, Rogina's daughter, in her first television directing experience. Dina El-Sherbiny is moving towards deeper drama this year, through the series "Etnain Gherna," where she teams up for the first time with Asser Yassin, after presenting family drama through the series "Kamel Al-Adad," in its three parts over the past three years. The series consists of 15 episodes, revolving around the psychological and personal crises that women go through, written by Rana Abu El-Rish and directed by Khaled El-Halfawy.
