Khaberni - The Vice President of the United States J.D. Vance spoke about the details of his visit to the Church of the Resurrection in Jerusalem on October 21.
Vance told the "New York Post": "It might have been the greatest moment of my life. I am not one to cry often, but when I knelt and touched the place of the cross, I was overwhelmed with emotion and burst into tears."
Vance affirmed the historical significance of the church, adding: "Some asked me: Is this really the site of Christ’s crucifixion? But the archaeological evidence confirms the presence of grapevines and olive trees here, consistent with the accounts of the Gospels."
He concluded by saying: "The Greek Orthodox Patriarch, the Armenian Orthodox Patriarch, and the representative of the Catholic Church own this church, which is a strong symbol of Christian unity."
