Successful Rare Surgical Procedure at AlBasheer Hospital Saves a Premature Child

The child was admitted to the premature unit under the supervision of:
Dr. Ali Al-Shoubaki – Consultant Pediatric Surgeon,
Dr. Tasneem Jaabou – Specialist Pediatric Surgeon,
Dr. Khaled Shaaban – Consultant Neonatal Medicine,
and Dr. Nasser Al-Aqrabawi – Specialist in Pediatrics and Fellow of Intensive Care for Premature and Newborn Children.
The child underwent the first surgical operation a few hours after his birth for gastric feeding, followed by three esophageal bouginage procedures, then the final operation in which the upper and lower esophagus were successfully reconnected.

After careful monitoring and intensive care for about 100 days, the child left the hospital in good health, in a medical achievement that reflects the level of excellence and advanced expertise in the field of neonatal surgery, diagnostics, and care at Al-Basheer Hospitals, where the efforts of the nursing staff in the surgical incubators and their precise follow-up and high human sense played a prominent role in the successful treatment and stabilization of the child's condition.
