The Ministry of Awqaf We deal firmly with those who use pulpits to issue apostasy judgments

Khaberni - The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Dr. Mohammad Al-Khalayleh, inaugurated on Tuesday the Preaching and Guidance Forum and the charitable and free medical day, which was organized by the ministry in collaboration with the Zakat Fund and Al-Maqased Charitable Hospital, at Rufaida Aslamiya Nursing College in Russeifa district.

Al-Khalayleh emphasized the importance of preaching and guidance forums in exchanging knowledge and experiences among imams and preachers, aiming to convey the ministry's message in calling to Allah with wisdom and good advice, and to enhance the values of moderation, centrism, and tolerance, in addition to combating social evils, and preserving the nation's security, stability, and unity.

He explained that the ministry deals firmly with anyone who uses pulpits to issue apostasy judgments or fatwas that are unreasonable and unscriptural.

He stated that Jordan, under its Hashemite leadership, adopts an approach that ensures non-aggression against Islam, by virtue of the spiritual and historical responsibility held by the Hashemite leadership, and highlighting the bright image of the true religion, as affirmed by the Amman Message.

He referred to the organization of the Zakat Law for this duty by collecting it as ordained by Islam, in addition to what comes from endowment programs and the investment of endowment funds, which all go to the poor and needy through the Zakat Fund's programs, while the state general budget covers administrative expenses.

Al-Khalayleh listened to the needs and demands of the people of Russeifa district, promising to study and implement what is possible, and directed the concerned parties to prepare studies for renovating homes, establishing rehabilitation projects for poor families in the district, and studying the conditions and needs of poor families as part of the Zakat Fund's programs.

He also inspected productive projects under the Zakat Fund's programs in the Russeifa district, emphasizing the necessity to continue implementing such projects, which aim to secure sustainable income for needy families, provide job opportunities, and meet market needs.

Al-Khalayleh, at the building of Rufaida Aslamiya Nursing College, inaugurated the free medical day organized by Al-Maqased Charitable Hospital, which included providing healthcare and medical care to the local population.

For his part, the Director of Awqaf of Russeifa district, Dr. Mohammad Fawzi, highlighted the ministry's efforts in developing the message of preaching and guidance in a way that enhances religious and national values according to a genuine approach of the Jordanian state under its Hashemite leadership, noting the ministry's ongoing pursuit toward institutional excellence, service to religion and humanity, and reinforcing religious values.

The community representative Nahar Al-Saudi, in his speech, praised the forums regularly organized by the ministry, which embody the spirit of solidarity, cooperation, and doing good, outlining the demands of the district regarding the Awqaf sector, including: increasing the vacancies for imams, muezzins, and female preachers in the district, increasing the number of rehabilitation projects, and renovating the homes of poor families.

The forum's activities included distributing 700 shopping vouchers valued at 30 dinars each to poor and needy families in the area, cash aid to 50 orphans and 50 students, each receiving 100 dinars, in addition to distributing 1,100 food parcels, 300 of which were donated by the benefactor Mohammad Abu Sofah.

It is noted that 239 families receive monthly salaries from the Zakat Fund in Russeifa district, in addition to the establishment of 4 rehabilitation projects and sponsoring 150 orphans.

The forum was attended by the Governor of Zarqa, Dr. Firas Abu Qaoud, the District Commissioner of Russeifa, Dr. Omar Al-Hadid, the Director General of the Zakat Fund, Dr. Abd Samirat, the Assistant Secretary-General of the Ministry of Awqaf for Islamic Call and Guidance and Director of Preaching and Guidance, Dr. Ismail Al-Khatib, the Director General of Al-Maqased Charitable Hospital, Dr. Basam Shaloul, the MP Raed Al-Zahrawi, the Dean of Rufaida Aslamiya Nursing College, Dr. Amal Al-Qudah, and several dignitaries and locals of the area.
