Khaberni - Khaled Al-Ziyoud, the head of the General Union for Petroleum and Chemicals Workers, stated that His Majesty's speech at the opening of the second ordinary parliamentary session of the National Council carried a clear message and enlightened vision, representing a comprehensive roadmap that could serve as a constitution for national work in various official and unofficial sectors.
Al-Ziyoud stated that His Majesty focused in his speech on issues of internal and external security, the importance of the security role in protecting society, alongside developing the healthcare sector, investing in knowledge and scientific research, education renewal, and linking it with technological advancement, thereby supporting the national economy and employing energy in service of modern economic technology.
He added that His Majesty emphasized the importance of administrative reform and legislative development to ensure the consolidation of democratic life, moving away from tribalism and regionalism, along with asserting the role of genuine religion in restoring the psychological and social balance of society.
Al-Ziyoud pointed out that the royal speech places youth at the core of economic development programs and enhancing national identity. He noted that the royal vision emphasizes the necessity of nurturing awareness among them to combat obscurantist ideologies and creating a safe environment that allows them to actively contribute to nation-building.
He stressed that what His Majesty proposed motivates everyone to work with consciousness and confidence, to reorganize the internal structure to build capabilities and develop the human element capable of change and influence, and to continue efforts to combat university violence and the drug menace threatening society.
Al-Ziyoud mentioned that the speech also addressed the importance of organizing national efforts and enhancing the partnership between the public and private sectors to address issues of poverty and unemployment, and to empower and train youth according to labor market needs.
Al-Ziyoud concluded his statement by affirming that His Majesty's speech expresses a comprehensive vision that enhances the status of youth, supports state institutions in confronting extremist thought and alien behaviors in society, translating His Majesty's thoughts and the Hashemite leadership’s message in building a strong, prosperous, and secure nation.
