Khaberni - The Brazilian Dani Alves, former Barcelona star, underwent a radical change in his life after leaving prison, as he became a preacher in one of the churches after spending more than a year in one of the prisons on charges of raping a young woman in a nightclub in December 2022.
The former right-back changed his life by 180 degrees within a few months after being released from prison following the famous rape case, managing to restore his relationship with his wife Joana Sanz, a model, and they recently welcomed their first daughter.
Alves, now 41, was in prison from his arrest in January 2023 until March 2024, when he was released on bail amounting to one million euros (1.1 million US dollars) pending the appeal that overturned his conviction.
Alves is considered one of the greatest defenders in the world, having won 42 titles during his successful career, while the peak of his career was with Barcelona between 2008 and 2016 when he won 23 titles. He signed with Mexican team Pumas UNAM in June 2022, who chose to terminate his contract shortly after his arrest.
