Khaberni - In the context of the Faculty of Engineering at Arab Amman University working to embody the university's vision and its academic mission in supporting scientific research and enhancing cultural and intellectual mobility, under the guidance of Professor Muhammad Al-Wadiyan, the university president, and with supervision and follow-up by Dr. Anwar Al-Assaf, the dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Professor Dr. Hanan Al-Jamili from the Department of Architectural Engineering at the faculty delivered a scientific lecture titled "Muqarnas and Their Impact on Improving the Indoor Environment", as part of a series of workshops, lectures, and cultural seminars in a variety of annual activities held by the Saboonji Cultural Forum in Amman.

During the lecture, Dr. Al-Jamili discussed the architectural concept of muqarnas, and reviewed their role in improving the quality of the indoor environment by affecting the structural and architectural form of the space, as well as being decorative elements of high artistic and aesthetic value, which are among the most prominent decorative and engineering elements in Islamic architecture. She also discussed their efficiency in addressing acoustic problems inside mosques and halls in general, through their ability to disperse sound and reduce the phenomenon of echo. The lecture was attended by a group of academics, engineers, writers, and intellectuals, leaders of the forum, and included a rich dialogue session to exchange views and ideas on the topic.

At the end of the event, the Saboonji Cultural Forum honored Dr. Hanan Al-Jamili in appreciation of her scientific contribution and her role in enriching the cultural and intellectual scene in the Jordanian community.
