Khaberni - MP Firas Al-Qabalan, today Monday, sent a message to the employees of the General Secretariat in the House of Representatives, explaining in it about his talk about the shortcomings of some council employees in their work.
In his message, Al-Qabalan confirmed that he did not intend to offend anyone in his statements, but rather only referenced a very limited group, not exceeding the fingers of one hand, whose shortcomings may unjustly reflect on everyone's image.
Al-Qabalan offered his apologies to council employees if his remarks were misinterpreted or mistrusted.
The following is the MP's letter:
To the respected brothers and sisters, employees of the Jordanian House of Representatives…
Greetings of appreciation and respect that befits your statuses and for your efforts that we see the impact of every day.
I would like to clarify — with all love — that when I spoke to the media, I did not intend to offend any of you, God forbid. You are partners in the successes and an integral part in shaping the image and prestige of the council before the people. What I meant was a very small group that does not exceed the fingers of one hand, whose shortcomings may unjustly reflect on everyone's image.
I spoke with the passion of someone zealous about the council, and with the goal of returning the frozen consultants to the field of work to support the council's twenty committees, and to contribute their expertise in improving legislative and oversight work—this is a public interest demand, not a criticism of you personally.
If my words were interpreted in any way other than intended, or if mistrust arose from them — I am among the apologetic, not the haughty. You are colleagues in the field and we are merely an extension of your efforts, and without your dedication, patience, and loyalty, no representative, including myself, could perform their duties properly.
With all affection and respect,
And our thanks to you for what you silently and loyally provide to this country and this council.
Your brother
Firas Al-Qabalan
