Khaberni - Syrian director Rasha Sharbatji spoke candidly about personal and professional aspects of her life, revealing details about her relationship with her late father, director Hisham Sharbatji, in addition to her opinions on artistic, social, and political issues that sparked broad engagement across platforms in recent hours.

In a television interview on the program "Waba'dein" with media personality Rabia Al-Zayyat, Sharbatji confirmed that the script for the series "City Kitchen" has undergone no changes despite delays in filming due to the current conditions in Syria. She noted that the work still reflects the Syrian reality before the collapse as it is, without any falsification or beautification.
She said, "We want to narrate the phase as it was, as censorship today is more cooperative, and it can be said that it has become lighter than before, especially in addressing the social issues that we all experienced in Syria."

Sharbatji discussed her meeting with Syrian President Ahmad Al-Shar'a, describing his personality as "humble, smart, and possessing a clear vision." She mentioned that she felt he plans methodically and has significant ambitions to support the country, saying, "He had hope that we all would support Syria, and those who stay are the ones who will take her by the hand to the future."

In discussing her personal life, Sharbatji said that ten years ago, she was obsessed with motherhood, but today she has surpassed that feeling with satisfaction and love, adding, "Although I did not give birth, I feel that I have achieved something important in my life, as people's love for me in the street makes me consider them my big family, and God has blessed me with health, provision, success, and someone who loves me."
