Khaberni - The series "Salma," adapted from the famous Turkish work "Woman," has managed to leave its unique mark by surpassing the original version in conveying the warmth of emotions and the sincerity of moments of sadness and joy, alongside the remarkable performance of the actors that breathed new life into the events.

At least, this is what the audience of the show, which airs weekly from Sunday to Thursday on the "Shahid" platform and MBC1, confirms amid notable interaction and extensive discussion across social media platforms in Lebanon.

The comments focused on comparing the performance of the work's protagonists from Lebanon and Syria with their Turkish counterparts, stating that the outcome is in favor of the first team in terms of mastering the role and presenting the character with understanding and sensitivity.

Some explained that this might also be due to a sense of familiarity and understanding with the members of the acting team in the Lebanese version, where the audience had previously known them and interacted strongly with them in previous works such as "Bride of Beirut," "The Traitor," and "Crystal."

Activists in this context praised the expertise of the Syrian actress Maram Ali in portraying the main character "Salma, a working mother raising her children alone with a mix of sternness and tenderness after her husband shockingly abandoned her, which they believe surpassed the performance of the Turkish actress Ozge Ozberk in the same role.

Opinions also suggest that Lebanese actor Nicolas Mouawad has outperformed Caner Cindoruk in portraying the character "Jalal," a husband who is absent in a suspicious and mysterious manner, as well as the expertise of Lebanese actress Taqla Chamoun in presenting the role of "Hawida," who has a tense relationship with Salma, which is the dramatic counterpart to the character "Khadija" portrayed by the actress Pınar Yildirimlar in the Turkish version.

The series "Salma" tells the story of a beautiful wife who initially seems to be living in a state of pure happiness, with a handsome husband who is smitten with her and children who are in great shape, both mentally and physically, while their living situation is very good.

Suddenly, all of that turns upside down due to a mysterious and suspicious disappearance of the husband, who seemed in scenes taken from the past as if he were "perfect" in his love for his family and tenderness towards his children, where the wife finds herself facing a reality resembling a living nightmare, believing that her husband has died, and she must adapt to the new reality.

The wife returns to her hometown in a popular neighborhood and begins to reweave her old relationships with her family from a new perspective, preparing her sons for these rapid developments, but the events hold a heavy surprise regarding the relationship between her missing husband and her sister.

The series stars Nicolas Mouawad, Maram Ali, Stephanie Atallah, Taqla Chamoun, Tony Issa, Nicolas Daniel, Saad Mina, and Magdi Mashmoushi, screenplay and dialogue by Lubna Mashlah and Mai Hayek, directed by Ender Amir.
