Khaberni - Today in Riyadh, the high-level coordination meeting of the "Global Alliance for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution" took place, with Christophe Bigot, the EU's special representative for the peace process in the region, co-chairing the meeting.
The meeting discussed several points embodied in the implementation of the New York Declaration, and examined President Trump's plan regarding the Gaza Strip, in addition to enhancing the delivery of humanitarian aid, and supporting the Palestinian Authority, as revealed by the EU mission to Saudi Arabia and the Gulf.
In the same context, Saudi Arabia continues to reaffirm its positions towards the continuous effort to end the suffering of the Palestinians, and to stop the ongoing cycle of violence, emphasizing that the Palestinian issue remains a top priority for the Kingdom in all international forums.
In the past September, Riyadh announced on behalf of Arab and Islamic countries and a number of international partners, the launch of the "International Coalition for the Implementation of the Two-State Solution" on the sidelines of the seventy-ninth session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, affirming that the establishment of an independent Palestinian state is an inherent right of the Palestinian people and a foundation for achieving peace, calling on all nations to recognize Palestine.
