The King worries But fears only God
Author: غيث القرالة

Khaberni - Today, His Majesty King Abdullah II stood before the National Assembly and delivered the throne speech, representing a clear announcement of a new stage in national work—a stage that knows neither hesitation nor defeat in the face of challenges. A single sentence can summarize the spirit of the speech: “The King worries but fears only God and fears nothing with Jordan at his back.”

Anxiety is not a weakness but a true awareness of the great responsibility and an explicit acknowledgment of the economic, political, and regional challenges that Jordan faces. At the same time, the speech proves that trust in God and then in the Jordanian people is a fundamental cornerstone. The King, who faces the storm with clarity, does not underestimate the citizen nor ignore the problems, but he also does not hide behind excuses nor allow fear to hinder the progress of the journey.

The speech focused on several core axes: politically, economically, and administratively updating the state, enhancing the performance of the government and parliament together, supporting youth and women in decision-making, preserving national constants, and maintaining Jordan’s regional role. Every word in it was a message: that Jordan is not merely a spectator of events but an active participant and partner in shaping the future and that major decisions are made with confidence and steadfastness.

The hidden message was clear: the King has the ability to transform worry into strength, awareness into action, and risks into opportunities. The reference to "his Jordanian back" reflects that the real strength lies not in the throne alone but in the people, the state, and the institutions that all cooperate to enact reforms and achieve accomplishments.

Therefore, today's speech was essentially an announcement of a new national phase, a phase where ambition is accessible to every Jordanian, responsibility is shared and hope is present despite all difficulties. It is a speech that reminds us that true leadership is not about avoiding risks but about facing them with a sound mind and firm faith, leaving a clear mark on the present and future of Jordan.

In a nutshell, the worry carried by the King is not dread but a vessel for plans and action, and the only fear he knows is the fear of God, and in this lies the message of strength, credibility, and hope that every Jordanian citizen needs today.
