Khaberni - The new Speaker of the House, Mazen Al-Qadi, and his deputies Khamis Atiyah and Ibrahim Al-Sarayrah, along with the permanent office members, have apologized for not receiving congratulations, affirming that the upcoming phase is a period of work and responsibility requiring full dedication to serve the nation and its citizens.
Al-Qadi's statement Khaberni came one day after the banquet he hosted on Saturday evening at Jabri Restaurant in the capital, Amman, attended by a large number of MPs, on the eve of his election as Speaker by acclamation Khaberni, following successive withdrawals of the candidates.
Al-Qadi, in a statement issued by the permanent office, confirmed that the House of Representatives faces a great national responsibility to translate the royal directives mentioned in the throne speech, and to advance in the paths of political, economic, and administrative modernization, emphasizing that serving Jordanians is a top priority.
He added that while the congratulations are appreciated and honored, the national duty requires limiting them to electronic platforms or in the offices of the MPs during working hours, out of respect for public responsibility and dedication to legislative and supervisory tasks.
