The government was not distant from this direction; it was at its heart, as from the extent of its interest in this path and its realization of its importance in shaping tomorrow, it created a top position of "Secretary-General for Vocational and Technical Education" to officially declare that this track was no longer marginal or secondary, but had become a national axis intersecting the plans of development, education, and economics.
The Ministry of Education, led by His Excellency Minister Professor Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, who carries a well-balanced thought and a thorough study of the education file, and with the sincere follow-up from His Excellency the Secretary-General for Educational Affairs Dr. Nawaf Al-Ajarmah, who has a profound educational vision and balanced planning, embarked confidently and capably on implementing this vision.
In partnership with Pearson, a leading British educational company globally renowned for developing curricula and certified vocational programs, the (BTEC) program was launched to bridge between school and the labor market, between national ambition and international standards. Under the direct supervision of His Excellency the Minister, the ministry has not only launched the track but also prepared its comprehensive educational environment; it outfitted its teachers, workshops, and laboratories, provided specialized training courses, and honed the workforce with advanced skills until the schools on this track today are vibrant workshops of life and creativity, where every teacher is a maker of awareness, every laboratory a gateway to discovery, and every workshop an arena of application for the thought, knowledge, and innovation built in students' minds.
The (BTEC) program is not just a curriculum being taught, but a life experience that addresses both intellect and skill. It opens for students wide windows in specialties that combine technology with creativity, and thought with production, from fields of technology, engineering, administration, and business, to fields of hospitality, tourism, health, nursing, design, and production, and reaching fields that glow with beauty and art, like the hair and beauty track, which blends fine taste with precise skill.
