Khaberni - Dr. Mohammad Al-Momani, the Minister of State for Media Affairs and Government Spokesperson, affirmed that it is too early to discuss any amendments to the parties and election laws at this stage.
Al-Momani said in televised statements today, Sunday, that the government is currently focusing on implementing modernization programs according to national priorities and in coordination with various state institutions.
Al-Momani also stated His Majesty King Abdullah II's clear directive during the opening of the second ordinary session of the 20th Parliament in both its chambers (Deputies and Senators) was that the state's economic modernization project with its administrative and political dimensions continues.
He added that His Majesty the King addressed in his throne speech key contents that are spoken by Jordanians of various tendencies, according to the Kingdom.
Al-Momani explained that Jordan and the Jordanians have always lived amidst sequential regional crises that dictate the pace in the region, “but despite that - we have always been up to the challenge, thanks to our armed forces and the established state institutions, and the rationality in Jordanian political discourse and decision-making”.
Al-Momani affirmed the most noble moment in the throne speech was when His Majesty the King said, “I worry, but I only fear Allah,” considering that this phrase carries a deep message to every Jordanian, indicating that worry is legitimate in the face of challenges, but fear is only reserved for Allah, and that national duty mandates work and dedication in serving the nation.
