Napoli took the lead in the 33rd minute through Kevin De Bruyne, from a penalty, before Scott McTominay added the second goal, in the 54th minute.
Turkish Hakan Calhanoglu narrowed the score, from a penalty for Inter Milan in the 59th minute, but Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa restored the margin as it was, by scoring the third goal for the hosts in the 66th minute.
With this victory, Napoli raised their points to 18, temporarily taking the lead in the Serie A standings, while Inter's tally froze at 15 points, dropping to the fourth position.
Partenopei regained their balance with this significant victory over the Nerazzurri, after their surprising fall against PSV Eindhoven (6-2) in the Champions League.
