Kharfan wins bronze at the World Taekwondo Championship

Khaberni - Fadia Kharfan, a player for the national taekwondo team, captured the bronze medal at the World Championships (14-star event), held in China, as part of the competitions in the under 57 kg category, marking her first appearance in the national women's team at a global championship.
Kharfan secured the bronze medal after winning her first match against Venezuelan player Alexmar Sulbaron 1-0 and in the second match against the bronze medalist of the Tokyo Olympics, Chinese player Wen Shen Li 2-0, and in the round of 16 against Uzbek player Madina Mirabzalova 2-0.
Kharfan won in the quarter-final round against French player Kenilia Carbine 2-0, and lost in the semi-final round against the gold medalist of the Paris Olympics, Korean player Yu Jin Kim 0-2.
Today, player Mahmoud Al-Tarairah competes in the under 63 kg category, while Jaafar Al-Dawoud and Saleh Al-Sharbati will play in the under 54 kg and 87 kg categories tomorrow.
On the upcoming Monday, Mohammed Al-Adarbeh will compete in the under 80 kg category, and Lana Al-Dabbas will compete in the under 46 kg category, while Zaid Al-Halwani will appear in the under 68 kg category competitions next Tuesday. They will be followed by Razan Al-Khasawneh and Mahmoud Yousef in the under 62 kg and 58 kg categories, respectively, next Wednesday.
Jordan will conclude its participation in this championship through Zaid Mustafa in the under 74 kg category next Thursday.
