Khaberni - Spanish news reports revealed a situation of "stalemate" surrounding the contract renewal file of the Brazilian star Vinicius Junior with Real Madrid, confirming that this issue is one of the main concerns of the administration led by Florentino Perez, especially with the approaching date of the "El Clásico" match against Barcelona.
The newspaper "Defensa Central" reported today, Friday, citing reliable journalistic sources, that the negotiations for extending the contract of the Brazilian striker, which expires in the summer of 2027, have not made any progress.
Journalist Ramon Alvarez de Mon said: "Each party is sticking to its position, Vinicius will always answer that he wants to stay in Madrid and he has a contract until 2027.. but these words are not enough, either one of the parties must move, or time will continue to pass".
The journalist from "The Athletic", Mario Cortegana, pointed out that Real Madrid "cannot offer much more" in terms of the high financial demands made by Vinicius to extend his contract, confirming that the stalemate has been ongoing for months without any notable progress.
The newspaper describes the situation as "extremely complicated", where both the player and his camp refuse to back down from their position taken since the first meetings, while the senior management refuses to lower its financial ceiling.
With the stalemate continuing, the possibility of Vinicius leaving "Santiago Bernabeu" in the summer of 2027, after his contract expires, began to appear as an "option" in the offices of "Valdebebas", where Cortegana described this sentiment as not so much "fear" as it is "a resigned acceptance" from the club.
Real Madrid's administration considers the summer of 2026 as the critical date, as Vinicius will enter the last year of his contract, which is an "unprecedented" situation in the club with a player of this importance.
