Khaberni - A British media delegation concluded a visit to the kingdom today, Friday, at an invitation from the Tourism Promotion Authority, as part of a tour that lasted several days. During the tour, they met with a number of senior officials and visited key tourist, archaeological, and natural sites across various provinces of the kingdom, with the aim to enhance Jordan's presence on the global tourism and investment map.

The Director-General of the Tourism Promotion Authority, Dr. Abdulrazaq Arabic, confirmed that the British market is one of the main markets targeted by the authority in its programs and promotional campaigns, indicating that the visit of the British media delegation falls within this context.

Arabic clarified that this visit completes a series of media visits organized by the authority over the past months, to similar delegations from France, Italy, Spain, Germany, and Poland, with the aim of promoting the Jordanian tourism product in the most important tourist markets around the world.

The delegation included representatives from prominent British media institutions, among them the BBC news network and Lonely Planet platform, one of the world's leading references in the field of travel and tourism.

The media delegation's tour included visits to a number of prominent landmarks, including the Roman Theater and downtown, the Jordan Museum and the Citadel in the capital Amman, Ajloun Castle and Ajloun Cable Car and Our Lady of the Mountain Church, the ancient city of Jerash, the Baptism site and the Dead Sea, and the city of Petra - one of the seven wonders of the world - in addition to the city of Aqaba on the Red Sea, where the delegation explored the exceptional touristic components of the kingdom and documented their experience through reports and media materials.

During the visit, the delegation also met with a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, the Ministry of Government Communication, the Board of Commissioners of the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, the Tourism Promotion Authority, the General Department of Antiquities, the Baptism Site Authority, and the British Embassy in Amman.
