Uncle Ghafeel bids farewell to Jordanian Television

Khaberni - The Jordanian artist Hussein Tabishat (Uncle Ghafeel) said goodbye to Jordanian Television after a service that lasted for 30 years. Tabishat posted on his page a farewell message to Jordan TV and following is its text:

After more than thirty years of service and contribution at the Jordan Broadcasting and Television Corporation, I write these words as I bid farewell to my first home, the place that witnessed my beginnings, nurtured my love for the profession and belonging, and crafted the most beautiful moments of my life.

All praise to Allah who honored me to be one of the sons of this great national edifice, which, after Allah, had the grace in everything I have achieved from people's love and my artistic success.

I worked in this institution as a director and artist, where I gave much and learned a lot. I had unforgettable experiences, carried my earliest tales within its walls, both in front of and behind the camera, and I always believed that art is a message, and that Jordanian media is the voice of the nation and its bright face.

Today, as I officially leave after reaching the special rank, I do not leave with sadness but with great pride, because I served my country, my profession, and my institution with sincerity and love, and I fulfilled the trust as it should be.

I extend my heartfelt thanks to all the managers and colleagues I have worked with over these long years. They were brothers, friends, and partners in every moment of success, fatigue, and joy.
And I especially thank everyone who believed in me and supported me, and everyone who gave me an opportunity to contribute something to my country.

I do not forget to lift the highest signs of allegiance and belonging to my lord, His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein, whose wise leadership and ongoing support for art and Jordanian media we pride ourselves on, and his constant eagerness to keep Jordan a beacon of creativity and honest speech.

Today, I start a new phase of my life, but I will remain as you have known me...
a son of this nation, a servant of honest speech, and the owner of a smile that knows only love.
Thank you from the heart to everyone who has been a part of my journey, and to everyone who loved and supported me.
I always meet you with goodness, on the paths of art and humanity.
