Trump We will see action on the ground in Venezuela soon

Khaberni - US President Donald Trump said that there will be "action on the ground in Venezuela soon," but he denied sending strategic bombers to fly near its airspace.

When asked if the news was true regarding sending strategic bombers to fly near Venezuela, he said, "No, it is false." However, he affirmed that Washington is "very upset with Venezuela."

At the same time, Trump pledged to wage a "strict war on drug smuggling gangs and eradicate them."

The Wall Street Journal had earlier reported on Thursday that two US Air Force B-1 bombers flew near Venezuela without entering its airspace.

Over the past weeks, the United States carried out a series of airstrikes it said targeted drug smuggling ships in the Caribbean Sea and the eastern Pacific Ocean, resulting in the deaths of at least 37 people.

On October 16, Trump told reporters at the White House, in response to a question about whether he was considering strikes on Venezuelan territory, "We are definitely looking at land now, because we control the sea very well."

Trump accuses the administration of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro of cooperating with a Venezuelan crime gang and managing drug trafficking and irregular migration to the United States, which US intelligence agencies have denied.

At the same time, the naval force the United States amassed off the coasts of South America raised fears of a Venezuelan invasion and speculation that Trump might attempt to overthrow Maduro.
