Khaberni - The commercial movement between Jordan and Syria has seen a significant increase during the first eight months of this year, driven by the resumption of trade activity between the two countries.
According to data from the General Statistics Department and monitored by the Jordanian News Agency (Petra), the value of national exports to Syria increased to 152 million dinars, compared to 31 million dinars for the same period last year, recording a growth of 390.3 percent, reflecting an increase in demand in the Syrian market for Jordanian goods.
Conversely, the value of the Kingdom's imports from Syria was about 68 million, compared to 34 million dinars for the same period last year, with a growth rate of 100 percent.
