Khaberni - The Economic Misdemeanor Court has acquitted the artist Sherine Abdel Wahab of the charge of defamation filed by her social media page manager, after the session scheduled on October 9th was postponed due to the holiday of the October Victory celebrations. The ruling was based on insufficient evidence.

The incident dates back to a report submitted by Sherine's page manager to the Sheikh Zayed Second Police Department at the Giza Security Directorate, accusing the singer of insulting him and threatening him on the basis of disputes related to the passwords of her electronic accounts and managing her official pages. The court examined the lawsuit, which included accusations of using offensive phrases and demanding temporary civil compensation amounting to 200,000 Egyptian pounds, before deciding on the insufficiency of evidence and issuing the acquittal verdict.

In a related context, the investigation department at the Sheikh Zayed Second Police Station received a report from the same manager's lawyer stating that his client had been subjected to defamation, threats, and defamation through the artist's official platforms on Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

The acquittal verdict strengthens the state of stability that Sherine has been experiencing lately, especially after the court recently rejected an appeal submitted by "Rotana" against her, which granted her the freedom to release her new works and contract with any production company or artistic platform without restrictions.
